Welcome to the Michigan Promise Zones Association website. The Association was formed in November of 2016 to represent Michigan’s Promise Zones. These are communities designated through state law to make college scholarships available to all students in a locality. The Promise Zones are not only committed to sending more young people to college, they are striving to build stronger communities by attracting new families and new business investment.

This website explains how the Promise Zones work and how Michigan became the only state in the nation to encourage the creation of local Promise scholarship initiatives. It will also provide you with basic information about the individual Promise Zones and how to connect with each.
